St Vincent lecture Friday February 12th 2010

To commemorate the Battle of St. Vincent the Nelson Society is holding a buffet luncheon and lecture at the Naval Club in London on Friday February 12th 2010. Members will recall that earlier in the year our Society became affiliated with the Naval Club and it is hoped the St. Vincent lecture will become an annual event in our calendar. Any members, or friends, who are interested in attending should complete the Application Form enclosed with this issue of The Nelson Dispatch. It should be returned as soon as possible with a cheque and SAE.
The Lecture -
Admiral Lord Nelson: Hurt Hero… and Hypochondriac? will be given by Surgeon Commander Peter R Brinsden MB BS MRCS FRCOG Royal Navy (Rtd). This will not only give members a further chance of meeting our Vice-Chairman but also as a new event for members in the London area and furthering our association with The Naval Club.
The buffet will be 12.30 for 13.00hrs followed by the Lecture.

The Naval Club is situated at 38 Hill Street, between Park Lane and Berkeley Square. The building is a classic, listed, 18th century town house in the centre of Mayfair. In 1954 it was designated a War Memorial to the RNVR. Directions regarding access and location are given on the Application Form and will be forwarded to members with their tickets. It is hoped that members will support this new event. As time is short and arrangements have to be finalised please return the Application Form as soon as possible.
