As a member of the Nelson Society, living on the island of Malta I would like to say hi to members of this Forum. I have had a great interest in the life of Lord Nelson from the age of six, when an Aunt of mine gave me for a Christmas present The Cassell Caravel Book,"Nelson and the Age of Fighting Sale"
I look forward to participating in this Forum with interest.

hi

glad to be aboard, I am also a member of the 1805 club and participate in their forum as well, but this seems more intimate as per discussing Nelson as it is 'his' society Wink

I am currently reading books on Nelson and have learned much about his life. would love to hear from other members about their interest in the great man

cheers

Hello Margaret,
I think I replied to one of your postings recently on the 1805 Forum regarding books on Nelson.
I have posted a number of topics on the Forum, but have to admit it is a bit slow. Have you tred the Nelson and his World Forum which seems to be very active.
On the matter of books and slightly away, have you tried any of the Audio Books there are a couple on Nelson and Trafalgar.
Having read Christopher Hibbert's Nelson I was able to also obtain it on Audio.
Regards,

hi Stephen,

yes indeed you did reply to me ! Thanks for the suggestion of that other forum, I did join not 5 minutes ago  Shocked
I haven't looked into audio, but I have ordered 'I remember Nelson' from PBS. Boy was it gauche, I feel like making my own production of his life and concentrate on his naval career and his style of writing, if you have a chance have a look at it, if you haven't already
I am currently reading  John Sugden's Vol. 1 Dream of Glory, a page turner  Grin

cheers
